2019 Christmas Countdown Advent Calendar
Last year, we shared our Christmas Countdown Tradition with you and how to get started creating your own. Admittedly, Christmas wasn’t our favourite holiday but it has turned into something we now look forward to. This idea started a few years ago when I wanted to create something for Sean and I to enjoy together for the holiday season. We wanted Christmas to be about more than just shopping, running from commitment to commitment and feeling torn between which party/event to go to.
So we made our own containers to put treats and more in. We include donations, random acts of kindness and activities. Yes, there’s some chocolate too! I love planning it and surprising Sean with something each day. Now that our Little is a bit older, we’re looking forward to enjoying the countdown as a family. Well, mostly – there’s a few adult only activities so we’ll include a treat for our Little on those days.
Last year we shared how to make your own Christmas Countdown and gave lots of ideas for what you could put in your containers. This year we thought we’d help you with the planning part. We put together a calendar and included how many days are left as well as the date. There’s also slips of paper that fit in the calendar squares so you can move ideas around while you’re planning out your perfect countdown.
Sign up for our email and get access to our Free Resource Library to get your 2019 Countdown Calendar Creator. We’ve included a calendar for December with the date and days remaining noted (so you know which container to put them in), printable slips that fit the calendar squares so you can move ideas around while planning your perfect countdown. You can also put the slips in your containers.
